when i was 18 and fully entrenched in twitter kpop fandom i had this friend whose favorite books were armistead maupin's tales of the city series. well, [name redacted because i don't talk to this guy anymore], i finally got around to reading the first one. i was told that these books were about queer found family. i was NOT told that the main character sort of commits manslaughter. i need to read the second book just to find out what happens next. because, hello?????
