finishing off my "i was traveling and therefore did 2x as much reading as normal" streak is bunt by ngozi ukazu and mad rupert. ukazu is most famous for the check please series, which i love, and this book was really enjoyable and felt familiar (especially now that i actually know a couple of things about baseball (yes technically this book is about softball i know i know) because of ngozi's art style which, again, i've been enjoying since high school. that said, there were a couple plot threads i wished they picked up. like, what's the story between susanna and her mom? i was getting more evil vibes from doria adams than were ever really explored in the book. because like, she's the helm of PICA, right? she's part of the force taking over molly's town and she just gets to be benevolent and uncomplicated in the end because they needed to tie everything up neatly. so i guess i wish i knew more about what was going on there.
