grief update: i wasn't sure if i'd be able to make it to my friend's funeral, but my very sweet boyfriend very graciously offered to drive me there and back (no small feat, it's like 8 hours away before traffic). not how i wanted us to have our first road trip but i love him so much for doing this for me. also, weirdly, one of my mutuals on hockey tumblr also knew him personally and will be at the funeral, so. small world. 

shoehorning a book review in: interabled by shane and hannah burcaw. they're vloggers, and a married couple, and shane is disabled and hannah is not. i've been vaguely aware of their internet presence for several years. the book is a collection of stories about their relationship and other interabled relationships. good book. quick read. informative. nice and easy to breeze through even when i've been having a terrible week, so yeah, i guess i recommend
